Compact housing - MinistAIR fits

New version HRU-MinistAIR

HRU-MinistAIR residential heat recovery units are a new version of a well recognized model, based on a completely new design. Airflows of 250 or 325 m3/h and self-supporting casing made of EPP, acting as thermal and acoustic insulation at the same time. Counter-flow heat exchangers, made of PET, are responsible for heat recovery and enthalpic exchangers (E) recover moisture. In addition, the built-in RH sensor will take care of moisture level in the building. Left and Right version, together with horizontal installation, will allow you to adapt the unit to almost each project. Moreover, 56 cm width will allow installation in narrow spaces or wardrobes.

Wireless communication is used, likewise other series, both for controllers and IAQ sensors. Control is possible also via a mobile application.

Key performance features:

  • Heat recovery: HRU-MinistAIR-250 - up to 96%, HRU-MinistAIR-325 - up to 95.5%
  • Mounting in 3 configurations- wall-mounted: vertically, horizontally and standing on the floor
  • Left-hand and right-hand units (mirror image of the connections)
  • A horizontal model for both left and right configuration
  • Two condensate drains. By designing the inclinations in EPP, excess water can flow freely to the drain connector
  • Replacement of filters is easy without opening the cover
  • Compact dimensions. The unit's width is only 560mm. Units can be installed in standard 600mm cupboards thanks to these dimensions
  • Modulated by-pass
  • Free-cooling functions – also referred as Passive Cooling (no energy is needed) or Night Cooling (mostly happens during night), can be used to cool a building with outdoor air, when the room temperature is higher than the outside temperature
  • Free-heating functions - also referred as Passive Heating (no energy is needed), can be used to heat a building with outdoor air, when the room temperature is lower than the outside temperature
  • Performance tested according to EN 13141-7 standard
  • Wall mounting racks and feet included
  • Replaceable duct connections
  • Wireless control through mobile application or web browser
  • Remote control possible by any CO2 or RH wireless sensor
  • Light weight construction – only 25 kg!
  • Easy access to USB port (service interface)

SMART Ventilation System with Zoning

What is the SmartAIR system?

SmartAIR heat recovery system with zoning is the most intelligent, efficient system on the market. Why is it intelligent?

The ventilation system works independently, based on readings from sensors. Besides knowing how many people are in the house, the system also knows where they are.

Thus, it provides the right amount of air at the right time and place. A situation like this can be achieved by zoning, i.e. by dividing the house into day and night zones in accordance with the natural cycle of the day of the household members.

Here's how it might look:

  1. At night, we ventilate the night zone, e.g. bedrooms located on the 1st floor.
  2. In the daytime, we ventilate the day zone, which includes the living room and dining room.

Obviously, this is a simplified representation of how the algorithms may work. An intelligent HRV system requires sensors spread across multiple rooms to work (min. 2 sensors).

CO2, humidity, and motion detectors measure the air quality level (IAQ), as well as the presence of household members. Once they determine the air demand in a given zone, they send a signal.

As a result, the heat recovery system blows only as much air as is required by the residents, and not as much as the installer intended.

Would you like to live in a smart house? Choose the SmartAIR system

How about the most efficient system that uses as little energy as possible? Are you interested in smart technologies that minimize energy consumption? This mechanical ventilation system with zoning is the solution for you.

Ventilation designed for people, not buildings

Control in the ventilation system with zoning is fully automatic. No resident interaction is necessary.

Installation needs to be adjusted only once. It will then regulate itself to meet the actual needs of the household. The sensor readings will be transmitted to the air handling unit in real-time, so the ventilation system operation will reflect actual needs.

Using that information, the heat recovery unit will deliver the right amount of fresh air at the right time and place.

As long as one of the zones is ventilated, the regulating T-piece sends a signal to the air handling unit to proportionally decrease the airflow, drastically reducing the electrical consumption. The reduced efficiency of the air handling unit reduces the power consumption as well as the energy used for heating.

Benefits of the SmartAIR system:

  • Saves energy - the heat recovery unit uses less electricity,
  • Enhanced comfort - the HRU is quieter,
  • High efficiency - a controlled level of fresh air, as required,
  • Less energy needed for heating,
  • ECO - the most energy-efficient way to control a heat recovery system,
  • SMART - the system designed to adapt to your needs,
  • You are always in control - monitor all parameters in the app.

EPP Manifold boxes for MVHR systems

Insulated manifolds at the price of uninsulated ones?

The efficiency of the ventilation system with heat recovery does not end with the selection of an air handling unit. The air distribution system, including but not limited to ventilation ducts, plenum boxes and distribution boxes, is crucial for the proper operation of the heat recovery ventilation.

And since the lack of insulation is one of the most common mistakes when installing an MVHR system. Therefore, in our offer, installers will find already insulated EPP plenum and distribution boxes that solve the problem of missing or incorrect insulation.

EPP manifolds (distribution boxes)

Manifolds FLX-PLO-EPP-R are designed for use in domestic mechanical ventilation systems. They collect 75mm semi-rigid ducting, which is then distributed to the rooms. Typical installations contain from 1 to 2 such manifolds for the supply air and the extract air. Expanded polypropylene (EPP), the material used for the manifolds, is also an insulating material.

Why You should use EPP manifolds?

  • High thermal insulation: EPP is an insulating material with λ = 0.039
  • Corrosion-resistant
  • Simple and easy assembly - press-fit
  • The plenum box body is made of EPP, the spigots are made of ABS
  • Excellent mechanical strength

Air duct humidifier for MVHR system

You want your home to have optimal air humidity, right? Get a HomeEvap duct humidifier!

An air duct humidifier allows you to regulate the relative humidity in your home. It can also solve the problem of dry air. HomeEvap air humidifiers are energy-efficient devices designed to be installed in mechanical ventilation systems with a maximum air volume of 600 m3/h.

Why should you buy a HomeEvap humidifier?

  • improves home comfort by regulating relative humidity,
  • the process of air humidification is natural - water evaporation,
  • suitable for direct installation in an HRV  system,
  • the automatic and energy-efficient operation,
  • easy to install and maintain,
  • EPP is used for the housing, and fibreglass for the matrix.
  • built-in PTC heater,
  • Legiosafe® water filter prevents bacteria growth
  • duct sensor (included) measures RH and prevents condensate from forming in ventilation ducts,
  • a wireless room controller and a duct sensor control the humidifier,
  • HRQ-HUM-HomEvap-200 set includes wireless controller, duct sensor, heater, legionella filter, matrix and valve.

How do duct humidifiers work?

A duct humidifier is installed in the supply duct behind the heat recovery unit, thus becoming part of the ventilation system. As soon as the relative air humidity falls below a certain level (we set the value ourselves), the humidifier kicks in.

Here is how the humidification process works:

  1. Humidity levels in our home are decreasing
  2. Dry warm air passes through the HomEvap humidifier
  3. Filtered water (Legiosafe®) naturally evaporates on a special matrix
  4. Then, the humidified air is distributed to the ventilation duct system and to connected rooms.
  5. The humidification process is regulated by a wireless room controller and a duct sensor.
