The DAOSLI dampers are designed as a non-return damper, with gasket and marine type insulation, built into the air distribution system and allow a single air flow direction only. These dampers feature a split flap closure, both flaps are made of light-weight aluminium sheet and hinged on a steel bar with springs which keep the flaps closed when there is no air flow. DAOSLI is made of galvanized steel or aluminium and special wool for marine application, meeting the International Maritime Organization (IMO) FTP-Code standards. Such insulation is about 45% lighter than its equivalent for land construction, which is an essential factor for ship deadweight, payload capacity ore fuel consumption. It combines high thermal and acoustic performance as well.

The standard duct length is 3000 mm; the sheet thickness for a given diameter is the same as that for the SPR spiral coiled ducts. The ducts of diameter 250 mm or greater feature outer ribbing to improve the robustness and vacuum pressure strength.

The DASLI dampers can be installed in ductwork systems which do not require full air tightness. The damper blade position is read from the control handle, which can be locked in position with screws.

The DATLI damper with gasket and marine type insulation is a regulating damper, built into the air distribution system, that allows for the change of the air flow resistance, and consequently change of the air stream. The DATLI dampers are a good choice when the ductwork closure must be airtight.
