What is a ventilation grille?

It is the termination of the ventilation ductwork, to put it simply. It's used in both gravity and mechanical ventilation systems.

Along with the practical purpose of terminating the ductwork without leaving a hole in the wall, air grilles also fulfill an important aesthetic function.
