TeachAIR – intelligent ventilation for schools and educational institutions

TeachAIR is an advanced ventilation system with heat and moisture recovery, high-efficiency particulate filters and a carbon filter that reduces NOx and gaseous pollutants. Designed to ensure a comfortable microclimate in educational facilities, including classrooms, at the lowest operating costs.

The device guarantees a capacity of 700 or 900 m³/h, which allows for effective ventilation of rooms for up to 30 students, in accordance with the minimum requirement of 30 m³/h per person.

Fresh air can be supplied at low speed and low turbulence through an active carbon displacement diffuser, which effectively neutralises odours and provides effective prevention of droplet infections by separating exhaled air outside the occupied zone.
An advanced algorithm manages the operation of the device based on CO2 concentration and the set parameters of thermal comfort, ensuring optimal conditions in the classroom throughout the day. The aesthetic and functional housing effectively dampens sounds without disrupting the teaching process.

The device has an advanced air filtration system based on an electrostatic filter. The use of an electrostatic filter on the air intake allows contaminants to be trapped.

The cooling/heating unit integrated into the system ensures thermal comfort regardless of external conditions, while the use of an air recirculator ensures effective air exchange, thermal comfort and energy savings.

Thanks to access to the AIR Alnor cloud system, it is possible to centrally manage multiple units in a single facility (e.g., an entire school), which significantly simplifies operation and increases the energy efficiency of the building. Additionally, TeachAIR can be integrated with Loxone's SmartHOME solution, which allows for the synchronization of multiple devices in a facility, increasing the level of automation and user comfort.

CONTROL OF RECOVERATION THROUGH SMART HOME SYSTEM


Controlling recuperation with a Smart Home system is a step towards a modern, fully automated home. By integrating the air handling unit with an intelligent building management system - such as Loxone - it is possible to precisely adapt the recuperator's operation to the lifestyle of the occupants, the current conditions in the house and the air quality needs.


How does Smart Home recuperation control work?
The Smart Home system, enables full automation of recuperation by taking control of the unit's basic functions. Sensors distributed throughout the house - such as air quality, humidity, temperature or presence sensors - send data to the central unit, which analyses it in real time. On this basis, the system automatically controls the recuperator: it increases ventilation when needed (e.g. when cooking or when there are more people in the room) and reduces it when the occupants are away.

Full automation and energy savings:
The recuperator works exactly when and where it needs to - no more. The system avoids excessive ventilation, which translates into real energy savings.
Comfort and health:
With continuous monitoring of the indoor air, the system automatically takes care of air quality - without the need for manual adjustment. Fresh air always where the occupants of the home are.
Integration with other systems:
Smart Home systems such as Loxone make it possible to link recuperation to other elements of the smart home - such as heating, roller shutters or the alarm system - creating a coherent home management ecosystem.
Remote control and full control:
A mobile app allows the user to control the operation of the ventilation system in real time - from anywhere in the world.
 

What is needed for integration?
Recuperator with Modbus communication capability. For Alnor recuperators with wired automation, Modbus communication is located directly on the control board of the unit. Recuperators with wireless automation require the HRQ-Modbus gateway.
Central control unit - the heart of the smart home system. In the case of Loxone, this is the Miniserver.
Sensors (CO₂, humidity, temperature, presence) that collect data and send it to the system.
Smart ventilation - comfort at a new level
Although the implementation of a Smart Home system with recuperation integration involves an initial investment, the benefits - in terms of savings, comfort and a healthy microclimate - are quickly noticeable. Loxone is one of the most advanced and flexible solutions in this field, making it possible to create a truly “smart” home, not just a remotely controlled one.

  • Flexible installation – can be installed in any position (ceiling, floor, wall, sloping roofs). Thanks to the optional elbow, the connections can be connected both vertically and horizontally.
  • Versatile design – one device allows for quick selection of left or right version during installation.
  • Quiet and comfortable – the integrated bypass ensures a pleasant temperature on summer evenings, and the unique arrangement of the fans (on the intake and outlet sides) means that the heat exchanger also functions as a noise absorber.
  • Modern heat exchanger – newly designed, larger heat exchanger compared to standard competitors' heat exchangers for this size of unit. The heat exchanger ensures greater recovery, lower pressure drops and greater airflow.
  • Lightweight and durable construction – made of self-supporting EPP, which acts as a thermal and acoustic insulator and optimizes airflow thanks to aerodynamic ducts.
  • Advanced equipment – built-in heater, CF system, temperature and RH humidity sensors, possibility to connect a CO₂ sensor.
  • Universal connections – compatible with standard diameters of 160 mm and 125 mm. For a diameter of 125 mm, special 43 mm insulated elbows are available that do not increase the dimensions of the device.
  • Installation options – the unit can be mounted in a Geberit flush-mounted frame.
