Flexible ventilation ducts

Flexible ventilation ducts are versatile solutions that are used in many industrial, office and domestic installations. Thanks to their flexible design, they allow easy adaptation to complex systems. They usually consist of a metal skeleton (spirally coiled wire), covered with materials such as aluminium, plastics or technical fabrics. The materials used affect their strength, flexibility and resistance to corrosion and temperatures.

The advantages of these wires are mainly the ease of installation in tight spaces, as well as their light weight and low price. However, they also have disadvantages such as higher air resistance and difficulty in cleaning compared to rigid ducting, which can affect ventilation efficiency. Therefore, flexible ducting should be used as sections of the installation, no longer than 4m. Flexible ducting is ideal for ventilation, air-conditioning and fireplace systems, especially where it is necessary to fit installation into hard-to-reach areas.

Insulated ventilation ducts - what are their characteristics?

Insulated ventilation ducts differ from flexible ducts by the use of an additional layer of insulation, which provides better protection against heat loss and noise. Their construction is based on a core (rigid or flexible), surrounded by an insulating material such as mineral wool). As a result, these ducts minimise energy loss and dampen sound, making them ideal for installations requiring constant temperature maintenance.
Their main advantages include excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties, flexibility and ease of installation in long lengths. The disadvantages can be higher cost and weight compared to flexible ducting. Insulated ducting is used in ventilation, air conditioning and DGP (hot air distribution from a fireplace) systems, where heat retention and noise reduction are key.

Flexible and insulated ventilation ducts in Alnor's offer

Alnor offers a wide range of flexible and insulated ventilation ducts that meet the highest quality standards. In the offer you will find flexible ducts made of aluminium, steel and models made of plastic, which are characterised by high strength, corrosion resistance and flexibility, ideal for installation in hard-to-reach places. In addition, in Alnor's offer you will find insulated ventilation ducts with a thermal insulation layer, which provides excellent acoustic properties and minimises heat loss in air-conditioning and DGP systems.
Various duct diameters and lengths of up to 10 metres are available, allowing for easy customisation of each installation. In the case of insulated ducts, Alnor uses high-quality insulation materials such as mineral wool to guarantee optimum energy efficiency.
Alnor products are a guarantee of the highest quality and comprehensive technical support in the selection of suitable ducts. Thanks to many years of experience and attention to quality, purchasing ventilation ducts at Alnor means reliability and durability of the products.
