F..-RPCL: Rubber Foam Insulated Female and Male Reducers

The F..-RPCL series reducers are a vital component within the FOAM System, specifically designed for increasing or decreasing the pressure in a duct ventilation and air-conditioning system. As with all FOAM System elements, they feature factory-applied rubber foam insulation, eliminating the need for complex on-site thermal sealing and ensuring immediate system continuity and thermal integrity.

Connection Types and System Application

These reducers are available in two distinct configurations, providing installers with the flexibility required for varying duct and fitting combinations, including direct connection to air control devices.

  • Male-Male Version (RPCL): This nipple-type reducer is designed to be joined on both the larger and smaller diameter ends directly with standard ventilation spiral ducts.
  • Female-Male Version (RPCFL): This sleeve-nipple type features a smaller diameter end that enters into the round duct, while the larger diameter end is a sleeve designed to overlap another fitting—most frequently, the T-piece or the frame of a device such as a KN-RM-ddd valve.

Technical Selection and Insulation Options

The F..-RPCL reducers are suitable for use across the entire FOAM System, allowing for continuous insulation integrity regardless of the diameter change.

The rubber mat insulation is available in the full range of system thicknesses:

  • 9 mm
  • 13 mm
  • 19 mm
  • 25 mm

Sheet Material Options

The inner core sheet material can be selected to match the overall ductwork specifications:

  • Galvanised (Standard)
  • Stainless Steel (K)
  • Aluminium (A)

Key dimensions for the reducers include the larger nominal diameter (d1), the smaller nominal diameter (d2), and the respective lengths (L for RPCL and L1 for RPCFL).
