The HRU-MinistAIR-NA series represents a new generation of professional heat recovery ventilators, designed specifically for demanding residential and light commercial HVAC installations. Combining over 10 years of industry expertise, this product line meets the rigorous demands of installers, the performance needs of architects, and the energy-saving goals of investors. The core utilizes cutting-edge materials and intelligent control systems to deliver superior performance, with an efficiency (SRE) of up to 90.5percent.

  • High Efficiency Counterflow Core: Features a PET counterflow heat exchanger, ensuring high temperature recovery efficiency (SRE up to 90.5percent) and stable operation.
  • Optimized Airflow: Capable of delivering up to 193 CFM (91 L/s) supply air flow at 0.4 inch w.g. (100 Pa) external static pressure, meeting ventilation requirements for moderate to larger spaces.
  • EC Motor Fans: Equipped with low-energy consumption Centrifugal fans with backward curved blades, ensuring high performance with minimal electrical demand.
  • Standardized Connections: Features Top ports 160mm (6 1/4 inch), fitted with rubber seals for quick, reliable, and air-tight duct connection.
  • Compliance: Performance tested according to the CSA C439-18 standard and HVI Certified, guaranteeing compliance and reliability.

Durable Construction and Maintenance-Friendly Design

Constructed with a primary focus on longevity and simplified maintenance, the HRU-MinistAIR-NA reduces installation time and long-term operating costs.

  • EPP Insulated Casing: The self-supporting casing is made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), offering high mechanical resistance, excellent thermal insulation, and superior acoustic properties.
  • Light Weight Construction: The EPP structure results in a light-weight unit (approx. 25-32 kg), simplifying handling and installation.
  • Easy Filter Access: Filters are easily accessible, enabling fast replacement and service. Wall mounting racks and feet are included.

Intelligent Control and Robust Frost Protection Strategies

Control is managed by an advanced PCB, allowing both wired and wireless operation. The system offers multiple frost protection methods to maintain balanced ventilation even in extreme conditions.

Control Options

  • Wired Controllers: Choice of advanced wired control panels (e.g., HRQ-BUT-PG15 or HRQ-BUT-LCD-P5) for manual selection of 4 speeds (PAUSE, LOW, MEDIUM, HOME), scheduling, and parameter reading.
  • Wireless Connectivity: Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules enable remote control via a mobile application (Android, iOS) or a web browser, allowing configuration of speeds and time programs (EXIT, PARTY, AIRING).
  • Energy-Saving AUTO Mode: Operation in AUTO mode is optimized by connecting an optional external CO2 or RH sensor (HRQ-SENS-CO2RH-P), which modulates fan efficiency based on ambient air quality measurements.

Three Defrosting Systems

The unit can be equipped with solutions to prevent the core from freezing, ensuring year-round, reliable performance:

  1. Recirculation: Recovers heat by temporarily redirecting air from the exhaust to the intake, operating effectively down to -25 degC.
  2. External Electric Preheater: Optional round duct electric heater (HRQ-HDE-CO1-P-160-2,5-120V) provides additional frost protection and allows balanced operation below -3 degC.
  3. Fan Unbalance: Achieved by reducing the supply fan's speed. Operates in the range of -3 degC to +1 degC.
