What is the role of air filters in a recuperator?
Remember that air filters should be changed regularly, as dirty filters directly affect the correct functioning of the unit. Why do we need filters in a recuperator? Air filters have a double function in the air handling unit: firstly, they clean the incoming air of impurities, and secondly, they protect other components of the unit from impurities. In this case, what is the 'danger' of dirty filters? "Clogged" filters in the recuperator cause more resistance, so that the fans have to work harder and thus draw more power. Finally, if you don't change the recuperator filters for a very long time, the recuperator may simply shut down or break down.
